*Reading Time: 3 minutes*

DELIVERED AND TRANSLATED

Romans 8:28 – And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Many Christians may not have realized it yet, but God has a purpose for His people. He called us unto Himself when He delivered us from the powers of darkness and transferred us into Christ-His beloved Son and His kingdom.

Colossians 1:13 – “Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son…”

ABSOLUTE FULLNESS

As far as I know and as I meet many people, I am able to say that a big chunk of believers have got little further than their understanding of salvation, and are just happy that they are saved today, which is actually very good, however, Christ saved us to a greater purpose in Him.

We were chosen and called with the very purpose, not just to be delivered out of darkness and out of Egypt and the grip of the satan, but to know and experience the absolute fullness of God’s Son, Jesus Christ.

The absolute fullness of Christ comes through His eternal life within us. And, knowing the Father and His Son-Jesus Christ is eternal life.

John 17:3 – And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

TASTE AND SEE

Now, it is a glorious thing to which we are called in Christ, but how many of us know Him and experience His life daily. We are told to taste and see. Only when we taste Him and His goodness, can we experience His limitless Life.

Psalms 34:8 – Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

Living in this fallen world, we often taste what the world brings us i.e. the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. But, the moment we taste the goodness of Christ, we repented of our former ways and our former lives and intentionally chose to walk in Him.

OPEN HEAVENS

This is the ultimate truth of our purpose in Christ. The minute we are filled with His life-giving Spirit, we walk in open heavens. We begin to see and know more of Him every day. Walking under open heavens is not only a life of miracles, signs and wonders but knowing the depths of Christ, His thoughts, His power and His life. Walking under open heavens is living His life by faith.

CHRIST IN US

Jesus Christ did not lay His life down for you only to be saved and get to heaven, or to know your sins are forgiven and to walk in the blessings which come with salvation. These all are the founding principles. But by His death, resurrection, ascension, and exaltation, He has poured out His Spirit to reveal you such a purpose of God which was not heard of, nor revealed in the previous times and ages.

1 Corinthians 2:9 – But, as it is written, ”What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”

PROGRESSIVE REVELATION OF CHRIST

These things that are prepared by God for those who love Him are revealed to us continually by His indwelling Spirit. This is the reason I believe that revelation is progressive. Our calling and purpose is to know Him, experience His life by understanding that CHRIST is in us. This ‘Christ’ in us builds us from children to mature sons.

Colossians 1:27 – To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory…”
