PRAISE GOD ALWAYS
Psalms 113:3 – From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the LORD is to be praised!
You can never separate praise and strength. They always go hand in gloves. Whenever you give God praise, honour and glory, He strengthens you with His might and power. Thanksgiving also shows your trust and gratitude to God. When you keep thanking God in advance for the answer, this will keep you encouraged.
Remember, you cannot stay strong in faith by murmuring and complaining because it will sink you deeper in discouragement and frustration. It slowly drains you of strength and joy.
Nehemiah 8:10 – Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
BEING JOYFUL – THE RIGHT CHOICE
Being joyful in trials and difficulties is a choice we must make. Praise keeps you determined and focuses on who God is, as you continually look to Him. You cannot remain firm if you are talking about how bad your situation is.
James 1:2 – “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds…”
When we praise God, we declare our confidence in Him. There is a distinction between happiness and joy. Happiness is something we experience for a while and is usually short-lived. Joy is constant. It comes only as an outcome of living a life of praise.
Psalms 71:14-15 – But I will hope continually and will praise you yet more and more. My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge.
Time and again we may think, “I will definitely give God praise and thanksgiving after my problem turns around.” However, if you do not learn and apply this amazing principle to thank God in advance, you may lose sight of your hope in God and His Word. This will not develop the strength you require to wait for the promise.
Every morning when you rise up, start the day by saying, “Father, I thank You that Your Word is coming to pass in my life. I thank You that this problem has turned around. I declare it by faith and I choose to be joyful in all situations. I thank You that You are bigger than all the problems.”
In all circumstances, keep praising and thanking God with JOY and be strengthened to overcome every trial and hindrance, and walk in the victory He has for you. Switch on over into praise. Praise and thanksgiving with joy will keep you moving forward!
